Following questions raised in a BANKINGNEWS publication and republished in other media, IKTINOS HELLAS S.A. announces the following:
According to the published Semi-annual Financial Report for the period from 01 January to 30 June 2019, the Group’s turnover in the first half of 2019 amounted to 23.25 million euro and EBITDA to 6.02 million euro; while turnover in the corresponding first half of 2018 amounted to 32.08 million euro and EBITDA to 12.51 million euro.
Furthermore, according to the company’s announcement dated 15/11/2019, the Group's turnover in the first nine months of 2019 amounted to 34.37 million euro and EBITDA to 10.12 million euro; while turnover in the corresponding first nine months of 2018 amounted to 48.05 million euro and EBITDA to 20.06 million euro.
As a result, for the third quarter of 2019 the Group’s turnover amounted to 11.12 million euro and EBITDA amounted to 4.11 million euro, while for the corresponding third quarter of 2018 the turnover amounted to 15.97 million euro and EBITDA amounted to 7.55 million euro and not 4.09 million euro, as the publication incorrectly states.
Consequently, no questions are raised and no 2.2-million-euro exceptional tax benefit was discounted by government regulations, as the publication implies. The company, adhering to its policy which has been shaped through its 45 years of operation and 19 years since it was listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, has nothing to conceal and ensures that the investing public is informed in a timely manner, always on the basis of the goals it has set and the actual results from its activity.
