The financial results of the company IKTINOS HELLAS S.A. for the second quarter of 2007 showed a significant increase. More specifically, the consolidated turnover represented an increase of 14% amounting to 8.759 thous. euro from 7.658 thous. euro and the earnings after tax for the second quarter of 2007 came up to 738 thous. Euro while the earnings after tax for the second quarter of 2006 came up to 401 thous. Euro, representing an increase of 84 %. Iktinos Hellas is the leading marble industry in Greece with significant international exposure. Iktinos Hellas, is a vertical company with self-used marble quarries, cutting and elaborations plants, distribution channels on abroad and in Greece, branches and specialization in applications and novel architectural solutions by maintaining a leadership position, improving profitability, focusing on organic growth by developing innovative solutions. The Group consists of two main sectors, and more specifically of the marble and real estate sector, and extent its activities in the wind energy sector. The Company is active in the real estate sector through the company Latirus Enterprises Ltd which holds 20.344% of the share capital. The company Latirus Enterprises Ltd implements (through the participation in the company IKTINOS TECHNICAL AND TOURIST S.A.) the project at the Ormos Faneromenis location, in the Municipality of Sitia, Crete, and the construction of a tourist resort with a capacity of 700 beds, a conference centre with a capacity of 500 persons, a thalassotherapy centre with a capacity of 100 persons, a harbour with a capacity of 85 tourist boats, an 18-hole golf course, and two housing estates, in cooperation with the company Dolphin Capital Investors.
