The financial results of the company IKTINOS HELLAS S.A. for the third quarter of 2007 showed a significant increase. More specifically, τhe consolidated turnover represented an increase of 17 % amounting to 13,3 mil. Euro from 11,4 mil Euro and the earnings after tax for the third quarter of 2007 came up to 1,53 mil. Euro while the earnings after tax for the third quarter of 2006 came up to 219 thous. Euro, representing an increase of 600 %.On a consolidated basis the increase in the group’s profits arise:a) From the increase of the parent’s company profits at 626 thous. Euro 30% due to the increase in sales at 18%, from the increase of the gross profit at 1,7% and from the controlling of expenses. b) From the increase of the financial results of the subsidiary company VIS LAPIS LTDc) From the added value through the participation in the company Latirus Enterprises. Iktinos Hellas is the leading marble industry in Greece with significant international exposure. The company Latirus Enterprises Ltd implements (through the participation in the company IKTINOS TECHNICAL AND TOURIST S.A.) the project at the Ormos Faneromenis location, in the Municipality of Sitia, Crete, and the construction of a tourist resort with a capacity of 700 beds, a conference centre, a thalassotherapy centre, a harbour, a golf course, and two housing estates, in cooperation with the company Dolphin Capital Investors. In the wind energy sector the activated through the company IDEH S.A which holds the 100% of the share capital. This company holds production and installation permission for the wind farm of nominal power of 19.80 MW at the area ‘’Megalovouni’’ in the Municipality of Nikiforos, Drama, as well as production permission for wind farm of nominal power of 8,00 MW at the area ‘’Sinora’’ in the Municipality of Nikiforos, Drama.The impressive increase of profits is confirmed by the application of Group a strategic plan, in the marble, real estate and wind energy sector.
